There are a lot of choices when it comes to scan tools, so any chance I get to share info on what is out there, I will.  It isn't about which is the "best", but which "best" suits your particular needs.

I've used AE for some time now, and find it an economical and practical tool for the majority of problems I deal with.  Updates are easy, and customer support is very good.  They just unveiled version 9.0 with some new features and you can find out more at www.autoenginuity.com.
