ho3pp28y, 11 months ago| FlagThere's many car magazines your daughter probably reads already. When I want to pass my ASE Tests and find out the latest information for vehicle systems I order the Motorcraft Study Guides. There is one for every test category: engine, transmissi on, auto trans, electrical , etc.. They have a good basic as well as up to date descriptio ns of the systems and sample test questions. A few years ago, someone asked me a similar question and I found some older books that described the physics involved in auto mechanics. It is a good thing to understand the simple pysical laws that apply, because while many advances and changes happen in the industry the phsical laws never change. Electrical basics, ohms law and circuits is something every auto tech needs today. Good luck to your daughter, hope she follows her bliss. Bill
AJsDad, 11 months ago| FlagHappy Holidays to you all. I am here for guidance. My daughter is a 14 yr old freshman at a Technical School and has chosen to study automotive. Growing up my brother was the mechanic so I never had any interest. I was wondering if anyone might suggest some magazines books, or anything they can think of that inspired them to pursue this field. I am not sure how committed she is, but if she wants to pursue it, I want her to be the best Automotive Tech she can be. I appreciate all of your guidance. Mike
