How Smart is a Golf Cart Sized Car?

Smart Car and Golf Cart

We had a little fun (pun intended) on our last article posted at DenLors Auto Blog involving the Smart car and it's size comparison to a golf cart. The thought of a micro car that actually drives down the highway alongside tractor trailers seems more than a little dangerous to me. We dug up some interesting tidbits about the origin of this tiny car too. For instance did you know that this car was the collaboration of a Swiss watch company and a German luxury car manufacturer? Included in the short article are a couple of videos, one is of a crash test and the other has a slightly modified Smart car racing a Ferrari. For city driving where speeds aren't that high and parking can be an issue, this car may work well. If gas mileage was the main consideration, this car is Smart, very smart.
