Richard Petty backs WIX

Through 70 years and countless numbers of NASCAR races, WIX filters have told numerous stories. During AAPEX 2009, lifelong WIX supporter and NASCAR legend Richard Petty shared his WIX story as the company looks to the future.

"Racing used to be just a southern sport. Luckily we started to grow. We're a national sport now. WIX is one of the companies that supported it and helped it grow. WIX is part of what has made raciing what it is today," says Petty, a 2010 NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee with 200 NASCAR wins. Petty began using WIX filters in his NASCAR career and first utilizing them on his personal vehicles.

Producing 140 million filters annually, WIX is dedicated to continued growth through its five truths — leadership, global reach, broad product cover, highly engineered products and the power of the WIX filter brand. And they hope to grow not just through NASCAR, but through new markets going forward.

In 2009 alone WIX has released almost 360 new part numbers and a national "Filter Out Cancer" campaign. With a tagline, "The first filter we've created that works best when it's not on a vehicle," all proceeds from the campaign are donated to the American Cancer Society. The company also recognizes the importance of education, partnering with Chicago Pneumatic to recognize the best "School of the Year" that educates aftermarket techs and future industry leaders.

WIX is dedicated to continued growth and advancement over the next 70 years.
