I thought that might get your attention!
Continuing your technical education, in my opinion, is key in maintaining and increasing your income potential. Mastering diagnostic methods, learning new ones, and keeping up with changing technology are just some of the areas where training is essential. But where to get that training?
Access to training varies from region to region. Many large parts houses offer training clinics for a fee, as do aftermarket parts manufacturers. OE training is generally restricted to dealer personnel, leaving us independents out in the cold. And there are numerous independent trainers that present their classes around the country, also for a price. Let's be realistic here...of course there is a fee. It costs money to rent the room, to travel to the location, and to provide the material. They all still come down to whether or not there is one near you.
But there is an option, and one is to take training on your own time, and in your own home, via Internet. TST Seminars is a not for profit organization offering live Webcasts that are just as good as any live seminar I've been to. You can interact with the instructor, ask questions and add comments, yet do it from the comfort of your kitchen table or home office. Can't make the scheduled event? Many of the Webcasts are recorded and can be viewed later, without the live interaction. Fees for these seminars are very reasonable, well within the reach of us working stiffs!
TST also offers DVDs and live training, both to members and non-members. President and founder, G. "Jerry" Truglia is an experienced trainer, well recognized in our industry, and leads a group of talented individuals, all with the goal of helping you stay current...and competent.
